Thoughts on alternatives: I've already gone over why I think Jean VS Ikki makes me want to stick forks in my eyes and Mars VS Bloom isn't much better, with horrible connections and animation potential across the board, Mars VS Blaze/Axel/Martian Manhunter are okay though, but I feel like this would be a more unique episode in my opinion, and either VS Vegeta is fine I guess, it's just that Thor is better for him if he ever came back. Connections: Side characters who essentially fill the role of series buttmonkey (or one of in Junpei's case) that are surprisingly adept at combat, who eventually retired from fighting to pursue a career in baseball (Yamcha being a player and Junpei being the coach of a kids team), but eventually were called back into action for different reasons (Yamcha helps defend Earth on several occasions while Junpei got stuck in Inaba after falling asleep on a train he was on in Ultimax which resulted in him being dragged into the P-1 Climax where he had to help save Mitsuru, Aigis, Fuuka, Akihiko and Inaba). Connections: Aside from the obvious Jojosona comparisons, they're both well-intentioned extremists who want to recreate the universe to prevent people from feeling pain and suffering as a result of personal tragedies they suffered in the past that deprived them of their loved ones; both of which also happened to serve as the catalysts for awakening their initial Stand/Persona. 138. Thoughts on alternatives: Kevin VS Absorbing Man is definitely a fun idea, but I feel like Satsuki brings out the most in his arsenal, same with Garnet, not bad, but I feel Satsuki is the more fun option, that out of the way, hoo boy Satsuki has a lot of alternatives, Morag is good, like really good, but I feel Kevin is the more unique pick, Wave is fun, Venom is what, Sonic is what, and Esdeath does not need to return in my opinion. Thoughts on alternatives: Lucy VS Kaneki is fine but nothing special, Crona's okay but if they ever do come back are better suited against Shiro from Deadman Wonderland. Why I want this: I seriously need more of Sho in my life. Don't worry, that matchup will be on here soon enough. Why I want this: Much like a matchup much later on this list, I can understand why people don't want this, but unlike that matchup, Sora VS Pit wasn't the best. Thoughts on alternatives: Juggernaut VS Doomsday/Broly/Furella are dumb, Azrael VS Saitama/Kenpachi are ridiculous stomps to the point where I don't think they'd be fun to watch, Azrael VS that one girl Jack suggested is good though, though not as crazy as this in my opinion. Likeliness: 9/10 Very thematic and highly requested. Why I want this: This is one of those matchups where the connections aren't the greatest, but I'd be lying if I didn't find this idea just to be so damn fun all around the board. Why I want this: Star Wars is really lacking DB. Connections: Children of Crime Lords (Diavolo and Geese Howard) who abandoned them and left them with their mother till they eventually died of sickness and didn't provide funds needed to cure their illness. They also have an extremely rocky relationship with their mothers and their fathers (both of whom were researchers for a major group in their worlds) are both deceased. From the connections that could be better but still work at the end of the day, animation potential that is absolutely crazy in several different ways with how varied their powersets are which could make for such an interesting and chaotic animation, to the banter which is pure comedy gold in some areas, to the music potential which can be full on sinister, to just the uniqueness of this matchup and everything about it just screams really good to me and I really hope this happens at some point just because it's so interesting. Actually interesting animation potential, between all of the abilities these two have copied, could make for one of the most fun and interesting animations in all of DB. Connections: Two secondary female antagonists that work under another more opposing threat (Cinder and Shigaraki) that lost someone that they called their friend (Roman for Neo and Twice for Toga). Quicksilver VS A-Train (Marvel VS The Boys), 24. Likeliness: 6/10 Tifa's in high requests to return after her not so spectacular debut back in Season 2, and with her two other most popular options occupied at the moment, but the competition on her side is still pretty big and Knuckles isn't the first character you would think of when it comes to Sonic returnees. Mr Negative VS Naraku (Marvel VS Inuyasha)- Negative's best matchup it's fair and has alot of potential. Why I want this: Well, it's a fun fight with good connections, animation potential, music potential, good interaction potential, and has a really great analysis potential. Winner: Quicksilver, A-Train may have somewhat batter speed, but Quicksilver takes every other stat and his hax would destroy A-Train. Why I want this: In terms of their official episodes, they were good, but in terms of if it was their best matchup or not. Why I want this: As previously mentioned, I adore Power Rangers, it was one of the first shows I ever watched, and it's what also inspired me to write today, and so, we arrive at probably my most wanted Power Rangers matchup, and it shows, from the connections, while they could be better, are still solid enough, to the animation potential, between Randy's fast paced fighting style and Jayden's, they're styles could play off of each other so damn well, the music potential is good, since again, Power Rangers theme's are an absolute bop, the banter potential is also really good, Jayden's dedicated and firm while also having fun personality meshed with Randy being well Randy, the amount of fun exchanges you could have between them is just so damn good, and it's a matchup I just really enjoy. Likeliness: 4/10 Lucina and Ahsoka are the more popular picks despite being vastly inferior imo, but given how Psylocke seems to be the more fitting pick for Ahsoka, I wouldn't count this one's chances out just yet. Why I want this: I need more of Armstrong, he may not have had that much screen time in MGR:R, but he made his mark on the internet in more ways than one, and we need some more JoJo fights, so this works. Why I want this: And here we have our first SMG4 fight on the list, SMG4 is a series I love and always will, through the good times and that bad, I'm willing to see this series through until the end. They're mostly known for their abilities to corrupt other people to do their bidding, and both lead an army of demons. Connections are solid, animation and music potential are great, we could get some great interactions out of them, and it's just got so much meme potential, I love it. Why I want this: Because this one just screams entertaining, the connections, once again, aren't the strongest, but everything else works well enough to where it doesn't matter, the animation potential is great with how they could make Slade's weapons bounce off of Cap's shield, the music could be phenomenal, and the banter could be some of the best in DB history. Yeah, I really like this matchup a lot, for starters, connections and theming are solid af, the backgrounds between these two characters are so similar it's not even funny, animation potential is also solid af, the amount of crazy shit these two can pull off (Ebarto especially) which would just make for such an amazing animation with tons of destruction and chaos overall, music potential is great with both TGM and Brandon proving that the soundtracks of Dragon Ball Super and DC go hand in hand with each other, banter potential is also pretty great with the potential for some over the top acting from them, so yeah, I really like this matchup. Connections: Two female protagonists that were created in the sequels for their respective series that had male protagonists. From solid connections, great animation potential, great music potential, great banter potential with the potential for some Might^2 level interactions, a decently close fight, you got a matchup that not only serves as a good JoJo return, but also a good entry or Gurren Lagann. Both of their powersets revolve around the users soul (Ruby's aura being emanated from her soul and Maka using soul based attacks and abilities. Connections: The basic, nothing-special character from two of the greatest non-console games ever made (I can't really say "mobile games" since the mobile version of Plants Vs Zombies was just a port). Plus, free Kenshin wins are always welcome. Likeliness: 9/10 Some competition but this is still the most requested for both. Well here's the thing, Metabee has a giant form that he can pilot, and even without that Bumblebee's on the shorter end of the Transformers spectrum, so the whole size argument kinda falls flat, plus he gets upgraded in the anime to have a vehicular form so it's a non issue when it comes to Bumblebee's transforming, outside of that, solid as hell connections, amazing animation potential, with the potential for a fun, fast paced vehicle fight, music potential is great, the banter is fantastic too, Metabee's short temper and Bee's facial expressions could lead to some damn fun interactions, so yeah, I really like this idea. Now the connections are a bit simple in some areas but the manage to knock it out of the park so well it doesn't really matter, but there's also plenty of stuff to lover here as well, tons of good animation potential with some real destruction in there as well, Saiko smacking away grenades as shit blows up would be a real treat to watch, good music potential, mixing Darkest Hour with anything would instantly make me splooge, but what really sells it for me is the banter potential, hoo lordy, I thought the music potential was something to make me splooge, lemme tell ya, Saiko and Nora's personalities play off of each other so goddamn well it's not even funny, it might be one sided as all get out, but it's still a great matchup through and through, and I couldn't be happier of it being my most wanted SMG4 fight. Likeliness: 3/10 Yeah if Medaka ever comes to Death Battle it'll more than likely be against Makoto and if Goku ever does come back, it'll be something stupid like Saitama or Superman. Is she as requested as Ainz tho? Magneto VS Sinestro is a garbage matchup and Pennywise VS Freddy is just an unfair stomp in Penny's favor and this works best for both. Great animation potential? Animation potential is good, theming is solid, the dialogue potential is great, with their differing personalities, and depending on how you view Starfire's Herald scaling, could change the outcome.
